In bronze, Kingdom version with the bust of King Farouq on the reverse, measuring 44. 3 mm (w) x 42. 5 mm (h) inclusive of its integral suspension, spotting evident on the obverse, original ribbon, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Palestine Medal was instituted in 1948 and awarded for service in the 1948 1949 Arab Israeli War. It was revised in 1953, when Egypt became a Republic, the reverse of the medal altered to reflect the
